I hope we have given a better understanding of what conference calling is and how it works. For those of you who are like me and think better in pictures let me give you a brief scenario.
Bob Smith works for XYZ Company. He wants to make a reservation-less, toll free conference call to his co-workers at XYZ2 Company and XYZ3 Company. After signing up with the conference calling service of his choice he receives a toll free number, a Leader PIN code and a Participates PIN code.
Bob then sends out an email to all of his coworkers whom he wants to be on the call, giving them the exact time and date their conference call will take place. He also gives them the toll free number and the Participates PIN code.
On the day of the conference call, Bob calls the toll free number a few minutes before the scheduled time and enters his Leader PIN code. His co-workers also call the toll free number at their scheduled time and enter their Participates PIN code. Once everyone is connected the conference calling can begin.
